A bit hard to see the design with the poison dart frog paint-job so here was the unpainted block-out of the model. So now you can more clearly see the almost completely circular disc type head form, like the big radar dishes you see on AWAC’s......but organic! Will detail him up and make a bit more sense of the design.... front wings that are in contact with the ground need more thought and some sort of appendages need to be worked into that area before i believe that this thing could grip onto trees/objects inbetween gliding (have a few thoughts of integrating some sort of frog finger/pads near those two points close to the head). Will try to work all that out before i do the more dynamic pose/render later this month after i wrap up some freelance.
If I could afford you I'd hire you to do critters for a RPG (table top) project I am working on...unfortunately I'm broke.
These are the sorts of shapes and looks i'd love to see in more games, and especially Table top games I've got nothing against dragons, and goblins but something like this would be a great way to set a game apart.
That's pretty much how i make everything, start with a sphere and sculpt the whole thing. Just like if i picked up a ball of clay on my desk and started making something out of it. For more complicated mechanical objects similar process but just make multiple parts individually and combine them together to create one object. I still use ZSpheres now and then when appropriate but its usually faster to just start making the forms with a sphere and masking/pulling out shapes.

Also with the busts, is that the same?
Also, could i have some feedback on my 3D model i made recently? I'd really appreciate it!
